Nudibranco, by the artist Elisabetta Cavalieri Ducati, is a sculpture made using the ancient Japanese technique of raku ceramics, a method used by zen monks in the XVI century for the realisation of tea ceremony bowls.
The philosophy of raku is to reach harmony through the simplicity of nature, and to be able to accept the result whatever the intention.
Working intuitively with the matter, the artist breaks the traditional norms of raku to create organic shapes which are reminiscent of a primordial essence.
