Madonna with flowers pegasus light red, by the Japanese artist Tomoko Nagao, is a Pop and Superflat reinterpretation of the famous Madonnina of Duomo in Milan, enriched with high-impact objects made light and loving by the kawaii aesthetic, according to which every single element is represented in a nice and loving way. Symbol of the city and protector of Milan citizens, the Madonnina was raised on the main spire of the cathedral in the last days of the year 1774; the original one is made of a stainless steel skeleton and covered with gilded copper plates. In this beautiful enamel on canvas the Madonnina wears a cloak by Chanel, a high fashion brand symbol of contemporary mass society and consumption. Around her head there is a halo of red stars.
