Electric – painting

Electric is part of a series of works, in which the artist Clementine depicts an abstract reflection of the balance present in our lives going to strike a harmony between intention and spontaneity. The different styles of strokes represent the balance between when she is feeling versus thinking during the creative process. Throughout layers of paint, a color palette organically develops in a visual conversation between color, space and form.
During the development of each piece, she rotates the canvas for a fresh perspective. She asks viewers to take part in this experience and hang the work in multiple orientations, in order to elicit a different response towards where their eyes newly gravitate and freshly see.
